Illustrator and Photoshop work by Jessica Alvarez. I hand drew the snowflake/water crystal based on a photo of an actual water crystal. This wallpaper affirms that you are as individual as a snowflake, and so is your purpose. If you haven't yet found purpose, using this wallpaper will remind you that God is still unfolding your purpose, and it will become clear to you in His perfect timing.

» Meditation in News

There is a permanent page at Live on Purpose dedicated to news stories about meditation. Lists of health benefits of meditating are growing all the time. Meditators are calmer and happier than non-meditators. Regular meditation builds up the brain, prevents recurrence of depression, can help ward off stroke or heart attack, helps one adapt to stress, lowers cholesterol buildup, and lowers blood pressure.

Because we are currently in Easter season, I'd like to link to one of my blog posts from several years ago about meditation and Christianity. There are many places in the Bible where meditation is recommended, especially meditation on the Lord.

"Throughout Psalms, there are verses that say I will meditate on your decrees, on your wonders, on your unfailing love, on all your wonderful works. Here’s a nice one:

My meditation of him shall be sweet; I will be glad in the Lord. Psalm 104:34"
