Interview with Carol king

 

This interview is with Coach Carol King of Missing Ingredient Coaching. She specializes in helping others see positive results in their lives by applying the law of attraction. She has insights that few others do, as she has helped me on my journey by authoring a personalized guidance program pdf that I can turn to again and again to keep me focused on being positive.

Q. Tell me about how you learned about the Law of Attraction and how your life changed.

A. One of my cousins from Canada came to visit me in Barbados. We had not seen each other in many years and we had a lot of catching up to do. Upon his return to Canada he received a copy of ‘The Secret’ for his birthday. After reading the book he said he immediately thought of me because I seemed to him like a positive person and he thought the book was right up my street. So he sent me a copy of the book and I of course was completely blown away by what I learned and I immediately set about acquiring as much information as I could about the law of attraction.

When I began applying what I had learned the first thing I noticed was the confrontations with colleagues that were a constant in my working life suddenly began to lessen. The people I would normally have on-going arguments with just started to leave me alone, it was almost as though I was invisible, people would just by-pass me without saying a word and I began to enjoy my job a lot more.

The biggest change though was with my own thinking and actions. I simply became a better person and as I continued to look at myself, study myself and make a conscious effort to change the things about myself that I did not like, the better my life became in many areas.

In recent times the most significant change that occurred was discovering my true passion. Figuring out what I wanted to do with the rest of my life was a major turning point for me. For about three years I had been moving through a fog of indecision, I knew that I did not want to be a teacher of culinary arts for the rest of my life but I had no clue about what I wanted to do instead, so I just bumbled and stumbled along until I was introduced to the law of attraction.

After I re-discovered my passion and talent for writing I decided that I wanted to teach the principles of the law of attraction but I still did not know how I was going to go about it. I decided to use the law of attraction to figure out how I was going to teach the law of attraction to others, I set the intention, asked the question and left it in the hands of the universe to deliver an answer to me.

In 2008 I had three inspired ideas. The first came in May and it was to start a law of attraction/personal development blog. I also decided to quit working full time and go part time instead. This allowed me the time that I needed to focus on my blog and I spent the next eight months building the Inspired Journey blog. The next inspired idea came in October and it was to start an e-coaching business to help people struggling with the law of attraction.

However, after I started this business I found there was something wrong; for some reason I could not find any enthusiasm for this business and I had no idea why. Again I decided to ask a question and leave it to the universe. In December I received my answer via the third inspired idea. It was to continue with the e-coaching but to do it a very different way to other law of attraction coaches and so the Missing Ingredient Law of Attraction Personalized Guidance Program was born and now I spend my time focusing on building this business and I absolutely love what I am doing.

Q. What is the number one trouble spot you see people get stuck in when they try to apply the law of attraction in their lives?

A. There are many reasons for people being unsuccessful when applying the law of attraction to their lives, such of lack of patience, lack of continued focus and lack of knowledge of the principals of the law of attraction. But if I could pick one thing that trips people up the most I would have to say that it is limiting beliefs. When a person tries and tries to make the law of attraction work for them in a positive way without success it is usually because there is some sort of underlying negative belief that is stopping them from attracting the things that they want.

For example, many people say they want to attract more money, and they do everything the law of attraction tells them to do in order to manifest their desire. But that person may well have been raised to believe that ‘money is the root of all evil’ and so even though consciously they may say they want more money, subconsciously their belief is that money is bad, so until they recognize and eliminate that belief there is absolutely no way that they can attract more money.

The challenge with limiting beliefs is to recognize them. Often the belief is so far embedded in our subconscious that we cannot recognize it on a conscious level, so it is important to find a way to root out these beliefs. In my free e-book At Last The Law of Attraction For Regular People there is a section dedicated to recognizing and eliminating limiting beliefs. I have compiled a comprehensive questioning technique that can be used to uncover any limiting beliefs. By simply answering a series of specific questions you will begin to discover things about yourself and your beliefs that you previously would not have realized. The method is very effective and all that is required is your ability to answer the questions from your heart and with complete honesty.

Eliminating limiting beliefs is a much more straightforward task and there are many different methods available to help you do so such as, The Sedona Method, EFT (emotional freedom technique), NLP (neuro linguistic programming), Ho’oponopono and Cognitive Therapy. My personal favorites and the only ones I use are EFT and Ho’oponopono. Although both require you to learn specific techniques once the knowledge is acquired you can quickly and easily eliminate your limiting beliefs permanently.

Q. How can your coaching service help people who are struggling with emotional challenges in their lives?

A. My Personalized Guidance Program is designed to help anyone struggling with any area of the law of attraction. If a person who has knowledge of the law of attraction were struggling with a particular challenge such as an emotional one, I would ask them to give me a detailed explanation of the problems they are facing. Then I would compile a Guidance Program specifically for them.

The program would include: -

My Guidance Program is not a generic one size fits all system designed for the masses. It is made-to-order and to fit the individual that orders it. The success of the individual who has requested my help lies with their ability to give me as much honest information about themselves as possible, this helps me to make their program more focused and powerful. No matter what type of issue a person may be facing my e-coaching service can help them eliminate the problem and begin living a happier, joyous and successful life.

Q. Can you explain the importance of gratitude as it relates to the law of attraction?

Gratitude is extremely important to the creative process. It is virtually impossible to attract more of anything into your life if you are not grateful for the things you have now. Many people think that if they are struggling in life they do not have anything to be grateful for, but that simply is not true. Every single person on this earth has something to be grateful for. Gratitude should not be withheld until you manifest your desires, it should be expressed daily.

If you had the money to pay your mortgage this month, be grateful. If your cupboards are stocked with food, be grateful. If your children are clothed and fed, be grateful. When you express gratitude you are immediately shifted to a higher vibration. The universe will respond to this vibration by bringing you more things to be grateful for, then as you show more gratitude for things the universe brings, the higher your vibration rises and the higher your vibration rises them more the universe brings you things to be grateful for and so on and so on.

I always suggest that people take a few moments each day and focus on all of the things they are grateful for in life. I usually do this first thing in the morning when I wake up. I also keep a gratitude journal where I write down all the things that I experienced during the day that I am grateful for. This puts me in a wonderfully happy place and allows more of what I want to flow to me due to my feelings of happiness and gratitude.

Q. Can you explain how someone suffering from depression or chronic sadness could use the law of attraction as a healing method?

A. *** The best and easiest way to use the law of attraction when suffering from depression is to focus on feeling good. Now I realize that this may sound ludicrous considering that the last thing a person suffering from depression is capable of doing is feeling good and the fact that there are many hundreds of complex strategies, medications and therapies that are available that have cured people of their depression. But there is a way that you can begin to feel good and bring more good into your life.

The law of attraction states that you attract what you give your attention to, so it is only obvious that as you focus on whatever it is that is causing you to experience depression the situation will become worse or continue to happen or it will increase because you are focusing on it. As you feel bad, you focus on the thing that is making you feel bad and as you focus on the thing that is making you feel bad you attract more situations to feel badly about.

So in order to break this vicious cycle you must focus on feeling good. This may seem like an insurmountable task for someone who may on a daily basis be dealing with the low energy, low motivational, powerless feeling of depression. But there are several ways you can go about improving your mood in order to feel good. If you have the energy to take some action I would recommend the following.

Set your intention; make the conscious decision to feel good and declare it to the universe on a daily basis.

Doing some or all of these things will help to keep your mind focused on something positive rather that the negatives of your situation. It is however, possible that your depression does not allow you to be motivated enough to do all of the things listed above. If you fall into this category it may seem as though there is no way out of your situation. Nothing could be further from the truth. There is one very simple strategy that you can employ that will help you to lift yourself out of the fog of depression.

This strategy does not require you to do anything, there are no lists to be made and no activities to take part in. All you need is your mind and the willingness to while away a little of your time.

Visualization

Visualization can greatly improve your feelings about your life and help you to attract better health. Take a few minutes and sit or lie somewhere comfortable, close your eyes and imagine your life exactly the way you would like it to be. Think about all the places you would travel to if you were wealthy, think of the wonderful friends you would make if you were able to get out of the house, or think of the fantastic partner you would meet if your depression was not holding you back.

Let your imagination run wild. Make it as vivid as possible; spend as much time as you can visualizing perfection in all areas of your life. This may seem like a petty or childish pursuit, but what you are doing is utilizing two extremely powerful forces that will begin to change your life. Firstly by visualizing yourself in a happy healthy life you are raising your vibration, i.e. feeling good, and secondly by doing so you the universe must align itself to bring you more of the same feelings and so you will begin to attract the things that you want into your life.

By using your imagination you will shift your focus away from the challenges in your life and onto the great life you wish to live. Also visualization will help you to deal with your daily life, because as you begin to feel good more often you will be able to me make better decisions and better choices in your life.

Visualization is a simple yet powerful technique that anyone, anywhere, in any situation can implement, and it is by far one of the easiest strategies that anyone suffering with depression can begin to use right away in order to help rid themselves of depression once and for all.
